The little child in us who loves gaming

On Sunday 29th we had visitors at our place;
our neighbours who we attend the same church.  They had visited with the children...and to be honest I was so drained...I just wanted to see my bed the first thing when we got home.
Not because entertaining guests is not my thing, but entertaining preteens and teens is not a mean task. Reason is that they have partially identified topics of interest that they are more curious about than others in life and even on you tube...
Well..that was not even the hardest part. That they are somehow challenged and so communication was something i only relied on The Lord for interpretation was the hardest.  Not joking.. by the way I'm serious. Trying to entertain a young guest who you can't quite figure what it is they want is wow!!! A mountain.
Then i decided to type best funny clips on you tube... just to keep them entertained.. and this girl loved me to bits... she kept pointing me and kinda rubbing her chest... i guess to say I'm her bestie.
She gave me back my phone and it had lots of downloaded games...Someone once told me the problem with most people is that they see the challenge before they see the person.  I was one of those people this Sunday....I moved from pitty to being awed. I don't know how she ended up in the store and was able to download several games and play... I had not uninstalled them.

Then i decided to play one and i just went back to decades when we used to play those 'prince of persia' computer games... and  'roadrash' ...
How i ducked on my seat trying to miss those dangerous points.... hehe...one would think it's a live game and any misfortune would inflict tones of pain.. lol

In short I'm saying....
It's fun to reminisce my old days...
And it's rejuvenating to play games again on phone after a long time... I think going forward i will not keep my phone  'gamesfree'
I will find nice adult games like the jigsaw ...
I had word puzzle but it got so easy to play that I intentionally uninstalled it....
I will find snake game too...and that game we used to play on Brick device. Twas some sort of arranging blocks...lol.

Too much discipline those days..too much homework.  But little or no worries....to care about...

Mariage Works

What a post!

Ever bit much than you could chew? I just did by choosing a topic I know nothing about! Maybe I have heard a lot of theory about it! To write a post about how marriage works.. bearing in mind that I am saved and living for Jesus...haha status hidden deliberately* ask me in Camera.

Anyway I wanted to highlight the few things i have seen in the ones that are working.

  1. Marriage is NOT a give 50% and take 50%, It's a give, give and give more ... affair...  You give more than a100% . This way, no one is drawing from the package.... As a matter of fact you are overflowing the relationship with your goodness!
  2. Marriage is a commitment. Marriage goes beyond 'I love you' .... 'I care' Much as these words are used, wait they should be used in a marriage setting, it's in the same institution they are underused. The man should remind her with his words and actions every now and then that he loves her and that he cares...and she should remind him and act like it..that she submits, respects him as her head and appreciates the sacrifices he makes for the family.
  3. Marriage works. Look around and count the marriages that are working... They are more than we think. Most people's problem is looking at the glass from (a half empty perspective). Media broadcasts partners tearing into each other and stories on breakups get more hits than shares on stock market news...
  4. Marriage is an institution where forbearance should be the norm. You should not the mistakes of the other person...as mistakes.. you are a team and should work together to improve the unit. Day by day....bit by bit and just like fine wine... your marriage will get from better to best as days go by....
Let me get back to this topic in....just a minute.

Back at Writing

I like writing... I'll write small pieces and long ones...Sensible ones and others you'll have to read one paragraph a day as they'll not join to make one sensible article.

I'll keep improving, the best I can.
I will continue to check on grammatical errors twenty times before I publish...
I'll be keeping the article on my drafts box before sending so I can ponder over it's message, whether it's content that makes sense and whether it's worth someone's time to read through.

The reason I write is not because I have the best of handwritings..see what I did?..lol.. Not because I am the best in articulating stuff here..But because I like to read my mind at times. Unfortunately the only way, is to see what you posted on your TL or blog post.

Also, reading through the pieces I have done  takes me back to the moment I was writing, and it reminds me of the emotions I had and ultimately, the reason for writing that post.

Today a lost friend told me I have not written for sometime... It made me think about the following;

1.The things we start and never pursue to the end...
While I was growing up my parents used to tell us;  "Half projects never helped anyone." I'm not sure if it was a saying or their words to keep us working to the end of our assigned tasks.
All in all, this is a wake up call to me about the many half projects I still have..Direct translation.. *pinching my conscience now!!

2.What we do and take for fun (take in this case) writing here, might just be someone else's way to pass time while waiting for a late friend they're to do lunch with.

3.Life is too short to be boring..
Live it as loud as you can!!!
Okay I am not sure introverts are loud.. I will try to be loud though... (~_~)

4. Stretch your limits every now and then..
Change is painful but not changing is way worse! Get out of your comfort zone and only then, will you see progress and growth in the long run.

For now I will sign off..
